About

Religion, Politics, and Games explores representations of religion in connection to political and sociocultural discourses within video games. Like other popular media, video games frequently cite religious symbols or narratives, implicitly as well as explicitly. These representations often mirror social and cultural stereotypes, especially when it comes to religions outside one’s own cultural sphere. Critically investigating and explaining those portrayals and their political implications is the aim of this blog.
